For our final project in our senior year, we were tasked with creating an app focused on a topic that hasn’t been widely explored. I chose to design an app for both Native and non-Native users to discover up-to-date cultural events such as powwows, craft classes, ceremonies, and more. One unique feature I developed is the “Pow Wow Trail,” which allows users to link their event schedules and see where their season will take them. I also included a special account option for verified vendors, enabling users to easily follow and locate their favorite sellers throughout the year. Events are categorized for easy browsing, allowing users to search specifically for powwows, ceremonies, craft workshops, and educational opportunities.
